Wildlife of China includes its flora and fauna and their natural habitats. Many of the animals in China are endangered, such as the Giant Panda and the Siberian Tiger, because of habitat loss and deforestation.

Birds

The avifauna of China includes a total of 1314 species, of which 52 are endemic, two have been introduced by humans, and 55 are rare or accidental. One species listed is extirpated in China and is not included in the species count. Eighty seven species are globally threatened.

Flora

More than 30,000 plant species are native to China, representing nearly one-eighth of the world's total plant species, including thousands found nowhere else on Earth.
